Organic Cacao Capsules — 425mg | Pure Peruvian Theobroma Cacao
Our Organic Cacao Capsules contain a single ingredient: 100% certified organic cacao powder (Theobroma cacao) from Peru, encapsulated at our family-run facility in Leicestershire. The same pure Peruvian cacao as our powder — 425mg per capsule, nothing added, in a convenient daily format for those who prefer not to measure and mix. Soil Association certified, completely additive-free, and available in our plastic-free aluminium tin or 100% paper refill pouch.
Which size is right for you?
Each pot is a 30-day supply at its intended daily dose.
| Size | Daily dose | Cacao per day | Supply |
|---|---|---|---|
| 60 capsules | 2 capsules | 850mg | 30 days |
| 90 capsules | 3 capsules | 1,275mg | 30 days |
| 120 capsules | 4 capsules | 1,700mg | 30 days |
For a higher daily amount of cacao, our Organic Cacao Powder provides 10–15g per day — more practical for larger servings. The capsules are the convenient daily supplement option; the powder is the full food ingredient option.
Available in our reusable aluminium tin or our 100% paper refill pouch — both plastic-free and kerbside recyclable.
What’s inside — and what isn’t
Two ingredients. That’s the complete list.
- Organic Cacao Powder (Theobroma cacao, Peruvian origin) — 425mg per capsule
- Capsule shell: Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC)
No magnesium stearate. No silicon dioxide. No fillers of any kind.
The capsule shell is HPMC — a plant-derived cellulose, entirely free from gelatine and suitable for vegans.
About the cacao
Theobroma cacao — “food of the gods” — is native to the tropical regions of South America and has been cultivated in Peru for thousands of years. Peruvian cacao is widely recognised as a premium origin, prized for the depth and complexity it develops in the growing conditions of the region. Our capsules use the same certified organic Peruvian cacao powder as our powder product — sourced from a single origin rather than blended, for consistency and quality batch to batch. Cacao is one of the most mineral-dense whole foods available, providing magnesium, iron, phosphorus, and manganese.
Why choose ours?
- Peruvian origin — a premium single-origin cacao. Not blended from multiple countries — sourced specifically from certified organic farms in Peru.
- Soil Association certified organic. Every batch independently audited to the UK’s most rigorous organic standard.
- 425mg per capsule — additive-free. No flowing agents, no binders, no fillers — just cacao powder and an HPMC shell.
- Made in-house in Leicestershire. Encapsulated and packed by our small family team in a SALSA-approved facility.
- Vegan HPMC capsule shell. Plant-derived cellulose, no gelatine, suitable for all diets.
- Plastic-free packaging. Reusable aluminium tin or 100% paper refill pouch — both kerbside recyclable.
- Non-GMO, non-irradiated, allergen-free. No allergens in the raw material, ingredient, or processing plant.
How to take them
Take 2 to 4 capsules daily with water, ideally with food. Do not exceed 4 capsules per day without guidance from a healthcare professional.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between cacao powder and cocoa powder?
Both come from Theobroma cacao beans — the difference is processing. Cacao powder is produced without alkalisation, retaining the natural acidity and fuller mineral composition of the bean. Conventional cocoa is often Dutch-processed (alkalised), which softens the flavour but alters the natural composition. Our cacao is not alkalised — it is 100% pure Peruvian Theobroma cacao.
Is this the same cacao as the powder product?
Yes — exactly the same certified organic Peruvian cacao powder, encapsulated for convenience. The difference is format and serving size: the powder delivers 10–15g per day; the capsules deliver 850mg–1,700mg per day depending on which size you choose. The capsules are the everyday supplement option; the powder is the full food ingredient option.
Which size should I buy?
The 60-capsule size at 2 per day is a gentle starting point for a full month. The 90-capsule size suits a moderate daily intake; the 120-capsule size delivers the highest daily amount and is the best value per capsule.
Are these capsules vegan?
Yes. The shells are made from HPMC (Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose), a plant-derived cellulose with no gelatine. No animal-derived ingredients anywhere in the product.
Where is the cacao from?
Certified organic farms in Peru — a premium cacao origin. The same single-origin Peruvian cacao as our powder product.
What’s the difference between the tin and the pouch?
The reusable aluminium tin is solid, resealable, and built to last. The 100% paper refill pouch contains exactly the same product — letterbox-friendly and designed to be decanted into your tin once empty. Both are plastic-free and kerbside recyclable.
How should I store these capsules?
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the tin or pouch sealed between uses. Avoid humid environments such as bathrooms.
Also available as powder
For a higher daily serving of the same certified organic Peruvian cacao, our Organic Cacao Powder delivers 10–15g per day — ideal for smoothies, baking, and hot chocolate.
Certified organic. Peruvian origin. Additive-free.
Pure Theobroma cacao from Peru in a convenient capsule — two ingredients, nothing added, made by our small family team in Leicestershire. The same premium cacao as our powder, in a format that fits any daily routine.
