Grown at a high altitude – over 3,800m – in the Peruvian Andes, our Maca Powder is of the highest quality. Organic certified by the Soil Association, this is the finest maca powder.
Maca is a similar size to the turnip, which is related; we only use the root and lower stem in our Maca powder; this part contains the highest concentration of nutrients.
Maca Powder Dosage
One of the most common questions regarding Maca powder is the amount that should be consumed. Unfortunately, the actual variables can affect the amount of Maca Root Powder you should take.
It’s important to remember that Maca Powder is a raw food and not a supplement, extract or concentrate; we have never known anyone, nor are there any documented cases of anyone overdosing on Maca, but that said, like anything in life, it should be consumed in moderation.
Some people may experience an elevated heart rate after consuming excessive Maca Root Powder; start with a small amount and increase until you find the right amount for your body.
You should adjust the amount you consume based on your weight, overall health and age.
As with all nutrient-dense foods, we recommend starting with a small amount and building up.
How to Take Maca Powder
Maca powder is versatile and has an inoffensive taste. Therefore, it is easily combined with a broad range of food and drink. Although it can be quickly baked into bars and cakes, we recommend using it in smoothies.
Mixed into smoothies, Maca Powder can be taken quickly, and it’s easier to consume the exact amount required.
The fastest and debatably the simplest way to take Maca Root Powder is to mix the necessary dose with milk; we find a nut or rice milk that works best.
