Fruit & Nuts & Super Humans.

It is widely accepted that in early times  human beings were hunter-gatherers; and as such, it also widely recognised that our diets were made up of a much  higher percentage of fruit, nuts and berries (super foods) than it was meats. Meat is a lot  harder to acquire than fruit & nuts.

So in essence, as our digestive system is more at home digesting and  breaking down fruits and nuts than it is processing meats. But as humans have mastered technology it has made hunting much easier, therefore meat has gradually taken over our diets.

How Do Fruit & Nut Super Foods Benefit Us?

Little did we know back in prehistoric times that we already had the  most nutritious foods availableFruit, Nuts & Berries have all of the nutrients that we need to consume. Different kinds of fruit, nuts and berries  contain all of the nutrients that we need in our diets.

Some fruit & nuts have antioxidant properties, while others have  high concentrations of vitamins and minerals, essential to our well-being. In recent times scientists have been able to  quantify exactly what nutrients certain foods contain, this has led to some fruits, nuts and berries being  classified as super foods.

Most  fruit and nut super foods contain  high concentrations of antioxidants; these antioxidants are very effective at  killing 'free radicals', when 'free radicals' build up in the body they can start to  overwhelm the immune system, which in turn  leads to illness and depression. The lowering of toxins and a reduction in the numbers of 'free radicals',  supports the immune system and helps the body  focus on cell regeneration and the  transportation of oxygen around the body; leading to an overall  sense of well-being.
