Our organic hemp flour has been grown and processed in the EU. After hemp seed has been cold pressed to extract hemp oil, what's left behind is called the 'cake', this is then sieved and micro-milled to create hemp flour.
Hemp flour has a nutty, almost peppery flavour because it's made from the whole seed, it combines easily with traditional baking recipes. Hemp flour is Ideal for bread, muffins, cookies as well as thickening sauces and adding to smoothies.
When baking with organic hemp flour substitute between 20% to 30% of the standard flour for hemp flour, due to hemp flours concentrations of protein and fibre the recipe can become heavy.
