  RAW Cacao Nibs are made from pure cacao beans which come from the tropical criollo (king of cacao) cacao fruit. Cacao nibs are high in polyphenols, as well as being a rich source of beneficial minerals. Our cacao nibs are a deliciously healthy alternative to regular chocolate and a great compliment for yoghurts, cereals and desserts.

  There are three major varieties of Cacao:

  1. Criollo
  2. Forastero
  3. Trinitario

  Our cacao nibs are from the Criollo bean, only 5% of the world's cacao is the Criollo tree. The Criollo bean tree is notoriously difficult to cultivate and is susceptible to environmental changes; the Criollo tree is native to South America.
